3 Things I Love About e-Verify - Workology

3 Things I Love About e-Verify 3 Things I Love About e-Verify 3 Things I Love About e-Verify E-Verify is the internet based system that compares the information from an employees I-9 to information in the Homeland Security and Social Security Administration databases to confirm the employee is eligible to work legally in the United States. Many states require employers to use e-Verify to administer their I-9 compliance programs. Theres lots of debate as to whether this should be required nationwide. Im not going to debate that in this post I live in NC and it has been required here since October 2012. And, as someone who has survived a couple Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) Audits in their career, Im glad to have e-Verify to help make my I-9 administration more compliant. Besides the obvious benefit of ensuring your company is not employing people who arent authorized to work, heres what else I love about e-Verify: Limits errors. Employees and employers complete the I-9 form electronically on the US Citizenship Immigration Services (USCIS) website or a secondary vendor.  The site guides you through  each section, making sure everything is filled out completely and correctly to the government standards so there is little room for error. Nothing can be skipped or overlooked because the system will not allow that Even after over a decade of completing I-9s, I still get tripped up by the different documents and what info has to be recorded for each document. I love that e-Verify simplifies this for me and reminds me of what needs to be done, when it needs to be done and where. Keeps records. All the I-9s completed thru e-Verify are stored on the USCIS or vendor site for the required duration. If needed, you can access and print it or update it Lets face it, storing I-9s is a pain in the butt because they have to be kept separate from other employee records.   I love that e-Verify keeps all this data on file for me so the only thing I have to keep copies of are the List A documents, which dont take up much space because people generally use List B and C documents to prove work eligibility. This saves paper and space which equals to resources I can allocate to other, more value adding  areas. Removes guessing. The e-Verify site is connected directly to Homeland Security and the Social Security Administration the two departments that authorize people to work. Having their approval or denial on the status of your employees work eligibility and the documents they present means the employer doesnt have to use their own judgment on whether the employee is eligible and their documents legitimate Im  a Human Resources professional. Sometimes I feel like a detective but I dont actually want to be one. Examining and scrutinizing documents to be sure they are legitimate is not how I want to spend my time. With e-Verify, I dont have to worry about that anymore and I can focus my attention  on other things. If e-Verify isnt required in your state, I urge you to look into signing up voluntarily to simplify administration and strengthen compliance with I-9 completion. Check out this link to the USCIS website for more information and hit me up on LinkedIn for recommendations on which vendors are great and which to avoid partnering with.

The Best Way to Use Listing Writing Skills on Resume

The Best Way to Use Listing Writing Skills on ResumeIf you are looking to build your listing writing skills on resume, the way you do it is going to have a major impact on your success. There are many ways to write a quality resume, but none are better than the others. When you write a professional resume you will find that what matters the most is not the skill you possess, but the way you do it. It's like the old saying; 'Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime.'One thing you will learn over time is that just about every one of us has great and terrible skills. There are those who have a great eye for a job, and there are those who can't think of anything to say. Some people just plain stink at writing, but if you know what you are doing, it can be done. Those who are really good at listing writing need to realize that there is not a single person in the world who is perfect. In fact, there are a great many people who do a poor job, an d they do it all the time. It's very important that you don't let the fact that you aren't perfect affect how well you do it. You need to set your standards high, so that others know that you expect results. This means that if you are consistently getting poor reviews, it is best to stop, and move on to another job that may be a little better paying. Then, when you are starting your new career and you get the job you wanted in the first place, you can do it again, and again, until you achieve the standard of excellence that you need to be at in order to succeed in your new career. So, when you are reviewing what people have written about you in the past, take one or two things and focus on them. Not only can this help you understand what your resume needs to say, but it can also give you a little extra insight into how you do things. Then, look at what other people have written about you, and try to match those things with your resume. For example, if someone has said that you never se em to make a decision without first looking at a certain part of the company, then you need to take a look at what they are talking about. If you've been to many meetings and you've never asked someone what is wrong with them, then maybe it is time to go back to the drawing board and get to know more about what people think of you.Listing writing is a skill, and it takes practice to learn how to do it right. The problem is that many people think they can get by with just sitting down for 30 minutes and writing out what they want to say, and it isn't always as easy as that. But, with some practice, you can write a resume and get through it in one sitting, and the end result will be worth it.

It is safe to say that you are contrasting your start with another person's center? Your initial vocation to their magnificence days? Your entrance level pay to their 40-year vocation? Recollect that examinations require measurements, which are rare in any event, when you aren't attempting to contrast one type with a totally different type or seeds to trees.2. Comprehend that youre squandering valuable time.Every hour you spend contrasting yourself with another person is an hour you're not spending improving, finding out additional, gaining new aptitudes, and pushing ahead. Contrasting yourself with another person moves yo ur outlook away from where it should beâ€"on youâ€"by putting it elsewhere significantly less profitable. Concentrate on yourself and what you should do to be the place you should be, and removed the remainder of the noise.3. On the off chance that you go through that hour dealing with a personal development venture, that is all the better. Work on building the sort of life you can be glad for. Concentrate on the present, not on what number of likes you jumped on your last post. Accomplish something for yourself or another person that will really matter.4. Turn that scowl upside down.Address whatever negative emotions are prowling in the rear of your mind and attempt to transform them into positives. Utilize your desire an d instability to spike you to become quicker and that's just the beginning. Truth be told, rather than review the individual whos causing you to feel not exactly as rivalry, you can consider the person in question as a dream or a motivation to improve. You may even connect with that individual in a mentorship or cerebrum picking capacity!5. Keep your dignity. You have nothing to pick up in examination circumstances, however everything to loseâ€"your time and vitality, yet your drive, your energy, your pride, and your respect.
